As lead of the Discovery phase for the UX Design team, I hosted interviews with Stakeholders and Users of the Analytics Tool which provides analytics and market insights about a transaction through out its lifecycle.
Since this was a redesign, I needed to identify current state of the tool and the reason why the tool was going through another redesign. I also focused on identifying the different level of users, along with the objectives each type of user has when using the tool. Several types of users with different needs were. Just as novice users wanted a simple UI with easy to understand charts and information, more expert users wanted a complex UI with custom capabilities. This made the use cases and requirements to fall on a very wide spectrum.
After the meetings, I hosted white boarding sessions with Product Owners, Designers, Engineers and Architects to draft paper sketches and stablish the direction of the design.
After sketching the UI in paper, I proceeded create a lo-fi wireframe as a delivery product to mark the end of the Discovery phase.
As lead of the Prototyping phase for the UX Design Team, I was in charge of the creation of prototypes using Sketch tool. At this phase we start getting into the details of the UI. The prototype was built using our own component library, with the idea to reutilize as most components as possible in order to speed up the development.
Assisted Visa's Research Team to conduct in person and remote testing sessions using the functional prototype previously shown.
After conducting user testing with users, some adjustments were done to the prototype.
